- August 30, 1999 - Unfortunately, the vc@internetdynamics.com e-mail address was not
properly sending e-mail to me, which had been on the page since May 19th. My
apologies to anyone who may have sent a question or link suggestion during the past
three months. Please re-send any such e-mails. This problem is now fixed.
- May 19, 1999 - Changes by Aaron Cardenas, original webmaster of Virtual
Christianity, now involved again with the site. Added and ordered many new links in
the "Web Resource Server Sub-Pages for Christianity" section, reflecting many
of the new and popular search engines that have been established in the past few
years. Reorganized the sub-pages (Bibles, Software, this page) into a section at the
beginning of Virtual Christianity. Put a summary of the site at the top of the page.
With the help of a search engine, corrected some links with changed locations (under
the "Resource Lists" section). Also removed two dead links ("Christian Internet
Directory" and "On Catholine Doctrine and the Word of God." Changed the e-mail
address at the bottom of the page to vc@internetdynamics.com - which Stephen Adkins
set up to forward to me.

that it doesn't get trapped inside the child frame.
- July 1, 1998 - In response to many requests for return links from many commendable
sites, we have created a "Referer Links" page.
Every page which has a link to Virtual Christianity which was traversed to this
site by at least one person in the last two months was added to it. Links to this
page were added to the main Virtual Christianity page at
the end of the Resource Lists section and to the navigator pane
of the frames interface. If you would like us to add a link
to your site, the best way is to add a prominent link to Virtual Christianity and ensure
that the link is navigated by at least one person. We will pick this up in our
activity logs and automatically add you to the the Referer Links page.
- 1993 to 1998 - Virtual Christianity was originally created in 1993 as part of the home page of Aaron Cardenas while a college student at MIT. It started as a personal collection of on-line Christian sites and on-line Bibles. In January of 1998, the page was moved to its current location here at internetdynamics.com and was maintained by Stephen Adkins until May, 1999 when Aaron began taking primary responsibility for the site once again. Stephen continues maintains the Web site with regard to technical issues, such as those in the To Do tasks below. Stephen lives in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Aaron lives in the Boston, Massachusetts area.
To Do
The following tasks are under consideration for further work.
- Improve the attractiveness of the frames interface which is
admittedly an initial effort only.
- Improve the "Referer
Links" page to not interpret a single fetch failure to mean the page is "not
found"
- Improve the "Referer
Links" page to reflect all pages in Altavista and Hotbot which are known to point
to the site, even if the access log does not record a link traversal in the last two
months
- Make a frame interface that will load the Bibles page directly. The current frames interface only loads the Christianity page directly.
I am open to hearing any specific link suggestions that you have for us, as we are constantly keeping up with the changing scenery of the Internet. However, I prefer not to be added to a mailing list without being consulted. I immediately delete any e-mail that does not have my e-mail address in the To: line. Thanks -- Aaron.
